Home Sweet Home

We moved into a new home in early November. I underestimated how different moving with a one year old would be compared to moving by myself. What took a week before; easily took a month (arghhhhhhh).

Let’s just say, moving this time around was a little more stressful than my other moves but oddly enjoyable too.

We like our new home and the neighborhood. We’re located in the woods, on a cul-de-sac with four homes and seven neighborhood kids. It’s awesome. Charlee has a big play set in the backyard and kids to play with. The neighborhood kids have already been over to play and so have her cousins.

During one of her play dates, our neighbors’ three year old was one of the kids that came over to play. She pushed Charlee (hard enough to fall to the ground). It took a lot of restraint for Mike not to step in. He didn’t. He watched to see what would happen.  Charlee got up, walked right over to her and hit her. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t want her to hit BUT we also don’t want her to crumble. So both of us were happy to see her stand up to the ‘three” year old. Now, we have to work on the hitting thing …

So, back to the house. We’re not settled yet but we’re comfortable and overall, we’re happy with the move. My new job is great, side business continues to grow and it’s nice being close to family.

Here is a sneak peak at our progress…

and the organized pantry 🙂

and the office …

my island (oh yeah baby!)

and Charlee’s playroom!

More to come as we continue to make progress …
